Celebrating 100TB of Managed WordPress Hosting Delivery!
by Ben Gabler on
On June 30, 2020, Rocket.net officially launched and set out to change the way WordPress websites were delivered forever. While leveraging the edge of the cloud, Rocket.net is able accelerate, protect, and deliver WordPress faster than any other provider in the World.
Today, I’m happy to share that we have surpassed 100TB of delivery in the last 30 days! Now, 100TB… what does that mean?
Let’s break it down
First, let’s start with “What is a TB?”… Great question, TB stands for Terabyte. A Terabyte is made up of 1024 Gigabytes. Over the years, we’ve seen hard drives go from MB to GB all the way up to TB. It’s not uncommon to purchase a new computer and have it come with 1TB of storage.
Similar to disk space, bandwidth usage is measured in MB (Megabytes), GB (Gigabytes), TB (Terabytes), and even PB (Petabytes).
Now, with Rocket.net, each and every request to your website goes through Cloudflare Enterprise. That means everything from static assets to dynamic requests will be securely routed through the closest possible data center to your visitor.
As seen above, we also have a great balance of modern technologies supported between HTTP/2, HTTP/3, and TLS 1.3. At Rocket.net, each and every request is always forced to use SSL as well, so 100% of our traffic is delivered securely to the website visitor.
We also have an amazing global reach thanks to Cloudflare Enterprise. Between our full page caching in 250+ locations and Argo Smart Routing, we’re able to create a common user experience around the world.
Last but certainly not least, we’ve helped save over 1 ton of carbon with the amount of delivery Cloudflare handles on our platform. Nothing beats delivering the best possible end-user experience while also preserving the environment.
Here’s to reaching our next milestone – 1PB of delivery!
