As always, we’re hard at work here at Rocket.net to deliver features that better our customer experience on the platform.
Over the past few months we’ve received a lot of feedback around automated WordPress backup restores that would help simplify and improve customer workflows. Today, I’m happy to share we’ve made some major enhancements to restoring automated backups.
First, we’ve now made restoring your backups more granular. In 90% of support cases, it’s not necessary to do a full restore, but a partial restore (usually the plugins folder or just the database):
As seen above, customers can choose from the following when restoring an automated backup:
On top of making things more granular, we’ve also sped restores up in many cases by 10-20x!
Oh I also forgot… another massive improvement, customers can now restore automated backups for staging as well! This was something our customers asked for and now can do directly from the Rocket control panel.
If you have any questions about the new backup restore system please do not hesitate to give us a shout.
